This prayer card includes the traditional St. Andrew Novena prayer, typically prayed 15 times daily from St. Andrew's feast day (November 30th), through December 24th, in preparation for Christmas!
About the Design:
The watercolor print on this card was inspired by Bambinelli Sunday, a beloved tradition started by St. John Paul II when he asked the children of Rome to bring their "little statues" of the Infant Jesus to be blessed prior to being laid into their Nativity crib. With their blessed statues in hand, he asked them to invite their families "to gather round the Crib in these days of the Christmas Novena, to recite together the prayers learned on your mother's lap, to sing sweet carols, so charged with human and Christian sentiment". Traditional prayers said in anticipation of the coming of the Infant Jesus include this St. Andrew Christmas Novena prayer.
